Dear Fellow Rotarians:

As I look at the calendar, I note that we only have about six weeks until the Car Show. To date, we have sold fewer than 50 raffle tickets. That leaves 1,950 to sell in the next 6 weeks. Please make it one of your top priorities to offer tickets to your friends and family. Remind them that it is for a good cause and any prizes they may win are just icing on the cake.

Thanks,
Bob

There will be fines for not making up, and what is worse, your Rotary Buddy will ALSO PAY A FINE IF YOU DON'T MAKE UP! (Remember, all the fines go to Club Service to pay for our parties later in the year).

You can also make up online. Just go to www.rotaryeclubone.org and follow the steps.

Rotarians in the UK and Ireland take credit for supporting the PEFC

Rotarians in the United Kingdom and Ireland made a significant contribution to the polio eradication fundraising campaign (PEFC) simply by saying, "charge it," and using their Rotary International credit card for everyday purchases. On 6 August, RI General Secretary Ed Futa, acting on behalf of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI), presented a check for £21,948 sterling (approximately US$35,116) to The Rotary Foundation Trustee Chairman James Lacy.

Although credit card programs often start slowly and a royalty of less than one percent may seem small, results build quickly as more members acquire the card and use it to purchase everything from coffee to appliances. To date, the PEFC has received US$685,116 in royalties through the credit card program.
